Nach langer Zeit endlich mal was neues zum Gucken!
Die 3 (!) fertigen Quilts muß ich aber noch fotografieren, also noch etwas Geduld.
Hier erstmal ein Eindruck, was ich im Moment so mache
(auf dem Boden rumkriechen*g*) Es sind bis jetzt 1176 Teile

After a long time now something to look.
I finished 3 (!) Quilts but I still need to take pictures of them. So just a little more time (hopefully) till I show them.
Here you see, what I am doing right now (creeping on the floor*g*)

So far they are 1176 pieces.

Engelsduft

Das sind kleine Duftkissen, die vor Motten und Mücken schützen, guten Schlaf bescheren und schöne Träume.

Sie sind mit Lavendel und anderen Kräutern gefüllt.

This little pillows protect from bugs and mosquitoes, cause a good sleep and give sweet dreams.

They are filled with lavender and other herbs.

Willkommen / Welcome

Dieser Türhänger wurde nur aus Resten gemacht.

Daran konnte ich einiges ausprobieren und das Handquilten üben.

Ist er nicht nett geworden?

This door hanger was just made of left over fabrics.

I took the chance to try some technics . And of curse as a little training for hand quilting.

Didn`t it turn out nice?

Bärenstark - Frühchenquilt # 3

Hallo zusammen,

hier ist wieder ein Mini-Quilt aus Resten.

Das Bärenhaus ist bärenstark.

Ich mußte unbedingt mal den

Ohio- Star ausprobieren, denn der

geht so schön schnell und einfach.

this is the beginning of a quilt, which

will be a birthday gift later.

I just had to try the Ohio Star,

because its so nicely easy and quick.

Frühchen Quilts

In einem Krankenhaus in meiner Nähe werden jeden Monat etwa 140 Frühchen geboren.

Dafür sammelt ein Laden in Lohmar gestiftete Miniquilts.

Da mußte ich doch mitmachen!

In a hospital near by every month are about 140 babies born too early.

In a quilt shop in Lohmar are tiny quits collected for this babies.

I had to be with that group!

Geburtstagsquilt

Zu meinem runden Geburtstag bekam ich von meinen Quiltfreundinnen Blöcke geschenkt. Daraus ist dann dieser Quilt entstanden.

For my birthday I got lots of blocks from my quilter friends.

I made this out of this blocks.

Lots of Love

Natürlich mußte ich unbedingt auch einen Quilt für meine Tochter machen.

Er heißt "Lots of Hearts - Lots of Love"

Of curse I had to make a quilt for my daughter.

Fische und mehr

  "Mama, ich habe immer kalte Füße im Bett!" beschwerte sich mein Sohn, weil ihm alle Decken zu kurz sind. Deshalb nähte ich ihm den Fischequilt, der 170 x 260 cm mißt. "Mom, I always get cold feet!" my son complained, because all blankets are too short for him. So a made him this Fish quilt. Its 8 ft by 5 1/2 ft. Und hier ein paar Nahaufnahmen:

Zwillingsquilts

Meine Nichte und ihr Mann feierten im gleichen Jahr ihre runden Geburtstage.

Zu diesem Anlass nähte ich die Zwillingsquilts parallel in der Rekordzeit von nur 3 Wochen.

My Nice and her husband celebrated a round birthday in the same year. For this I made this twin quilts working on both at the same time in only 3 weeks. So far that´s my record.
